When you are engineering your own electric and hybrid subsystems, consider lowering your project risk by purchasing from a team that uses what it sells. Below is a list of most of the most popular powertrain parts we sell.

 

Systems typically include the following parts: motor, controller-inverter, controller chill plates (if controller-inverter doesn't have liquid-cooling built-in) and harnesses where applicable, and tech support - optional harnesses, optional soft-start pre-charge relays/ fuses/ contactors/ resistors, optional soft-start parts in a shielded box, control paddles, etc. for some systems - contact us for details, pricing and lead-time on these systems.

Peak Performance Requirements: To produce the peak performance estimates indicated for each system, the ESS (energy storage subsystem a.k.a. battery pack) needs to provide the required peak discharge current. Continuous/Rated performance requires support cooling systems to meet flow rate and pressure minimum requirements indicated on data sheets.  All systems listed below are WEG (water-ethyl-glycol) cooled and require pumps with adequate pressure and flow-rate to produce power listed.

 

Motor types/topologies - Axial Flux (AF) vs Radial Flux (RF) motors - of these two types we use and sell only brushless varieties including: Induction, PMAC, BLDC. 

 

Not all systems are listed below - we also offer through our partners, unique axial flux (AF) motors from PHI, Yasa, and GoldenMotor, as well as radial flux (RF) motors from SEV, CM, and additional packages from UQM and Parker and induction packages from HPEVS. QWC/SEV-57-83kW peak-96-144Vdc-RF/M1616 - (96-144Vdc Kelly controller option) This system is quite similar to what Zero Motorcycle uses, the differences are: motor is this package has more flux in the rotor and more magnet material, for a higher power in the same size package. Compare our rotor on left to Zero on right. Both have the same stator winding, however our motor is liquid-cooled for higher cont. power, where Zero’s is air-cooled - we also sell an air-cooled version with less cont. power capability.  Kit contains: IP67 motor/controller (size 6 controller picture or Kelly option controller - 96v or 144Vdc), controller chill plate, contactor, low voltage wiring harness, 2 hours tech support. Electric Outboards

Marine applications do not reap the benefits of regeneration to extend range as land-based vehicle enjoy, however, the powertrains are more energy efficient than ICE (internal combustion engine) powered and more and more certain waterways, resort locations, etc. restrict ICE usage. In addition, with renewable energy, the operational costs plus the lower maintenance makes electric marine powertrains a favorable alternative.

Electric outboards, 5hp, 10hp and 20hp (gas equivalent power), tiller or remote steering, that run on 48Vdc ESSs (battery subsystems) in short and long shaft version are also available. Stainless steering wheels, throttles, teleflex steering cables (3-9 meters), 5 and 20kWh marine ESS units and fused electrical connection cables are available upon special request.
